[Bars 58- 65] The second half of the solo contains some outrageous SRVstyle catch bends. For these you’ll need to push the first fingertip over the first string slightly in order to find the lower string as you push through the bend. Gary finally ends on a very long repicked bend up. This obviously needs to be very gradual, as you don’t want to target the final 21st fret G# until the A7 (although this is theoretically the wrong note for this chord, it is passing back to C#m, so works in the context!). Gary’s playing is the perfect combination of attitude and real musicality – a rare thing.
