Example1 sixth-string root legato idea

Guitar Techniques - - Lesson: Chops Shop -

The first four exercises use A Minor Pentatonic scale (A C D E G) with various legato approaches. I’ve included pick direction and fingering suggestions, but you might find another way suits you better. This first exercise is a linear, sixth-string root scale pattern that ascends using hammer- ons, and descends using pull- offs. Note how slides are used on the fifth and third strings to enable a smooth legato feel between positions.
