Guitar Techniques - - LESSON: ROCK -

George Harrison used a Gretsch Duo Jet in the early Cavern Club days (featured on the front cover of Cloud Nine). He made Rickenbacker’s 360-12 and later moved on to Fender Teles and Strats, as well as Gibson Les Pauls and SGs. Amps included Vox AC15, AC30 and AC100 and various Fenders. His slide parts were mostly played on his original 1963 Sonic blue Strat, re-painted in psychedelic colours and named Rocky. Use a clean and bright tone with a minimum of effects (George hated reverb!).
