To fa­cil­i­tate a quick chord change, keep your third fin­ger hov­er­ing above the 3rd fret while pick­ing out the notes of the E7 chord. This can be played us­ing regular al­ter­nate pick­ing, or a mix of econ­omy and al­ter­nate pick­ing by play­ing the first four notes in bars 2 and 4 with ‘down’ picks. For an au­then­tic 60s vibe, amp tremolo or a tremolo pedal is ideal (but don’t set the depth too high).
