This Bo Diddley inspired example uses the popular idea of moving from the minor 3rd to the major 3rd (C natural to C# here). The C natural notes are bent slightly sharp, and this helps them to fit in with the chord. Again it’s down strokes of the pick all the way for that authentic feel.
