EXAMPLE1 G dominant blues
Our first example draws heavily from short repetitious phrases found
MTiExoClyHdNiaInQsUcaEleS(G2-A4-B5-C-D-E-F) but we also see some C and D Mixolydian lines. We even find some chromatic movements, so there’s plenty to get stuck into from a melodic perspective. However, you could take a second 16-bar solo using just a G minor Pentatonic scale (G-Bb-C-D-F) and by landing on the strong chord tones still sound great.
