[Bars 1-9] This clas­sic open­ing riff re­quires nifty and pre­cise move­ment from the slide be­tween the 8th and 10th frets, so it’s worth prac­tis­ing this tech­nique as a slow triplet un­til you're com­fort­able with the in­to­na­tion. There are also lots of ‘in be­tween’ pitches, par­tic­u­larly be­tween 8th and 9th frets on the sec­ond and third strings. This should all be down to your ear and in­di­vid­ual feel.
