EXAMPLE9 HybriD pickeD jazz comp

Guitar Techniques - - PLAY | PICKING -

Applying hybrid picking when comping jazz style can give your performance that elusive pianistic quality. Chords sound cleaner and synco3patio0n becomes tight and snappy. In this example each three-note chord is sounded simultaneously using your pick, second finger and third finger as indicated. There’s no need to worry about damping the unwanted open strings either, as you would with regular picking.
