How­ever good your al­ter­nate pick­ing tech­nique is, it is not pos­si­ble to achieve a tight, con­trolled pi­ano style de­liv­ery when play­ing a quick suc­ces­sion of tri­ads (three-note chords) as re­quired by this ex­am­ple. no­tice also that di­a­tonic ma­jor and mi­nor tri­ads (us­ing notes ex­clu­sively from the key scale) are used ex­clu­sively through­out; this is a com­mon key­board player’s ap­proach and one that is all too of­ten ne­glected by gui­tarists.
