Example4 Jazz blues

Guitar Techniques - - LESSON | JAZZ -

Here we see a little of Larry’s Joe Pass influence, with a full 12-bar chorus against a jazz blues in the key of C. The trick to sounding like Larry is to hit the chord tones on demand, so ensure that you know which notes are in which chords, and to establish clear melodic themes that can repeated, developed and modified to create a logical and cohesive musical flow. Notice how the rhythms are repeated throughout this solo, with the potential to exploit each musical idea fully.
