Two root po­si­tion mi­nor triads (Cm and Dm: fret the first string Ab Bb: us­ing your first fin­ger) and two sec­ond in­ver­sion ma­jor triads ( and fret the first string with your sec­ond fin­ger) fol­low the ris­ing se­quence that starts on Fmadd9. The ‘add9’ chord was a trade­mark of Fa­gen and Becker’s song­writ­ing and was freely ap­plied to mi­nor or ma­jor chords. Their fa­mous ‘mu’ chord voic­ing was a sus2 with the third in the bass eg Bb­sus2/
