The term ‘plant­ing’ in clas­si­cal gui­tar is where the pick­ing hand fin­gers sit on the strings for a mo­ment ei­ther be­fore pluck­ing or right af­ter pluck­ing. Plant­ing the fin­ger or fin­gers back on the strings right af­ter pluck­ing is a way of achiev­ing stac­cato and should be used reg­u­larly through this piece.
