EXAMPLE8 BLUEGRASS STYLE RHYTHM
cd track 24
Here is a stock bluegrass style rhythm guitar part played on the flat-top acoustic guitar. The trick here is to pick out the bassline while maintaining a solid, pumping groove – check out the strumming directions in the tab. To play this one, remember to place the capo at the 2nd fret. This allows us to play in the key of A using those tried and tested G shape fingerings so beloved of the country and bluegrass genres.
