ExamplE3 dorian riff with double-stops
(G-A-Bb-C-D-e-F) This riff is based in the G Dorian mode and has a repeating double-stop riff on the middle two strings based in the scale. For the first two bars start with a G root note and fret it with either your first finger, or use your thumb over the top of the neck, Hendrix style. For the second two bars start with the open sixth string. Remember you can use pinched harmonics to enhance any of these riffs with extra attitude.
