(G-A-Bb-C-D-e-F) This riff is based in the G Do­rian mode and has a re­peat­ing dou­ble-stop riff on the mid­dle two strings based in the scale. For the first two bars start with a G root note and fret it with ei­ther your first fin­ger, or use your thumb over the top of the neck, Hen­drix style. For the sec­ond two bars start with the open sixth string. Re­mem­ber you can use pinched har­mon­ics to en­hance any of these riffs with ex­tra at­ti­tude.
