EXAMPLES SLIDING MELODY

Guitar Techniques - - PLAY -

Instead of using a linear scale approach, this example generates as much melody as possible sliding along the string during the opening four bars For the second half, slides are used to abruptly change position and even octave, but without needing to use a whammy pedal. There is an unintentional Floyd Rose ‘warble’ in bar 6, but this isn’t integral to the style (although it does sound rather cool).
