Brown used a capo when playing in any key other than E Major; this enabled him to achieve slurs and trills that would otherwise have been impossible. He used the capo as high as the 11th fret. Here place the capo at the 4th fret. The tab shows the 4th fret as an open string with higher frets related to that.
