WHAT ORDER IS BEST FOR PEDALS?

The ‘traditional’ or starting point order is: compression > filter/EQ > OD/distortion/fuzz > modulation > reverb/delay. But, bear in mind, this really is just a starting point. For example, it can be wonderful to use compression after overdrive for rock/gain tones, and there are plenty of analogue modulations that seem to be happier before overdrive.
