More Mansons…

Guitarist - - Feature -

You can get a good flavour of the Manson style with the Cort/Mansondesigned range that kicks off at £399 with the Classic TC. Next up is the M-Jet (£469) with a 24-fret bolt-on neck and high-output twin humbuckers. The key model is the Cort MBC-1 Matthew Bellamy Signature (from £519), which gives a solid evocation of the guitars played by Muse’s mainman with the extended shoulder body design. This is available in original Matt Black finish and Red Sparkle. The MBC-1 takes centrestage in the Cort Mod Shop range (from £629),which pimps up the guitar to various levels and specs, providing affordable versions of Matt’s instruments. The next level – the MA Classic and MAEvo – are made in the Czech Republic but, like the Mikey Demus guitars, various hardware and pickups (Bigsbys and Manson/Bare Knuckle pickups etc) are loaded in here in the UK. Prices start at £1,279. The E Series (from £1,999) are also Czech-made but have a completely different body outline with extended horns and thru-neck construction in 6and 7-string formats that hark back to Manson designs of yesteryear. The Full Custom level, from approximately £3k, is where you can indulge your dreams.
