I’m excited by the continuing e orts of its best winemakers to read the terroir more diligently and focus on wines that reflect sites rather than chasing styles. I’m tasting more wines that could only be made there. Which styles are you into this season?
I’ll be sticking sinewy reds in the ice bucket – lean grenache styles made like pinot, with lively fruit characters.
