I’m ex­cited by the con­tin­u­ing e orts of its best wine­mak­ers to read the ter­roir more dili­gently and fo­cus on wines that re­flect sites rather than chas­ing styles. I’m tast­ing more wines that could only be made there. Which styles are you into this sea­son?

I’ll be stick­ing sinewy reds in the ice bucket – lean gre­nache styles made like pinot, with lively fruit char­ac­ters.
