The ‘Quality control’ article by James Halliday in the Oct/Nov issue was incredibly interesting, particularly when looking at the quality of Australian wines and diversity of where they come from. Given the huge opportunity that exists in China, are we (government, local wine organisations and businesses) doing enough to capitalise on this? Will the Wine Australia Export & Regional Wine
Support Package be targeted enough to generate signi cant, lasting bene ts or be spread too thinly to try to please everyone? We make some of the best wine in the world, across all varieties and price points, and we should be proudly calling this out.
