2017 Te Mata Gamay Noir
Te Mata is one of the
southern hemisphere’s more serious gamay producers, having planted its vineyards of this Beaujolais grape 20 years ago. It’s punchy with soft red fruits, together with savoury tannins and a healthy dose of peppery spice in a New World-meetsBeaujolais kind of way.
A ripe, robust number for summer parties or even the Christmas turkey.
12.5% alc. $21, drink by 2019
