Winemaker: Willy Lunn

This wine brims with zippy citrus fruits, a creamy mid-palate and warm vanillin spice. Fresh and complex, it has a lovely weight with a line of fine acidity that offers balance and length.

What defines your style of chardonnay?

This chardonnay’s essence is of site and place, bringing the vineyard to the glass: classic Yarra Valley minerality, a grapefruit core, overlaid with subtle oak spices. The palate is complex and structured, but maintains our elegant, seamless style.

What techniques do you use for this wine?

Hand-picked at optimal ripeness, the grapes were gently pressed, only keeping the heart-run of the berries. This wine was matured for 11 months without malolactic fermentation and spent 12 months in bottle before release. It was also barrel fermented in French puncheons and lees stirred.
