Correction to grants story, May 2

AREPORT in the May 2 edi­tion of the Har­vey-Wa­roona Reporter, Clubs and Groups to Ben­e­fit From Grants, con­tained in­ac­cu­ra­cies in re­gards to Com­mu­nity Devel­op­ment Grants be­ing is­sued from the Wa­roona Shire Coun­cil.

The grants re­ported in the ar­ti­cle were the amounts that had been ap­plied for by var­i­ous groups, not the amounts that had been granted.

The cor­rect fig­ures are as fol- lows: Lake Clifton Her­ron Res­i­dents As­so­ci­a­tion re­ceived $500. Lions Club of Wa­roona, $800. Pre­ston Beach Progress As­so­ci­a­tion, $350.

Re­ally Re­ally Free Mar­kets, $700.

Wa­roona Ama­teur Swim­ming Club, $500.

Wa­roona Com­mu­nity Men’s Shed, $500. Wa­roona Cre­ative Arts, $500. Wa­roona Dis­trict High School Par­ents and Cit­i­zens As­so­ci­a­tion, $500. Wa­roona Hamel RSL, $500.

Wa­roona His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, $350.

Wa­roona Ju­nior Net­ball Club, $500. Wa­roona Karate Club, $350. Wa­roona Se­nior Cit­i­zens Wel­fare As­so­ci­a­tion, $350.

Grant ap­pli­ca­tions from the Coolup Polocrosse Club, Pre­ston Beach Golf Club, Quam­bie Park, Wa­roona Play­group and Wa­roona Com­mu­nity Re­source Cen­tre were de­clined.
