Home-made guns charges

TWO men have been charged af­ter Waroona po­lice al­legedly dis­cov­ered three home-made guns and drugs dur­ing a traf­fic stop on South West­ern High­way last night

At about 8.30pm, po­lice stopped a Nis­san util­ity on South West­ern High­way near James Road in Waroona.

While con­duct­ing a search of the car, po­lice al­legedly found three home-made guns, am­mu­ni­tion, a knife and a quan­tity of drugs.

A 25-year-old Dwellingup man has been charged with two counts of un­law­ful pos­ses­sion of a firearm, un­law­ful man­u­fac­ture of a firearm, pos­sess­ing a pro­hib­ited weapon and pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia.

A 38-year-old Pin­jarra man has also been charged with two counts of un­law­ful pos­ses­sion of a firearm.

Both men are due to ap­pear in Man­durah Mag­is­trates Court on Au­gust 29.
