ON Thurs­day, July 27 the fi­nal of the Sil­ver Spoon Stroke com­pe­ti­tion, spon­sored by Bev Ire­land, was con­tested by the Har­vey Golf Club women.

Noe­lene Withers won with a nett 73, one ahead of Delilah Hur­ley, from a field of 24 play­ers.

Pam Davey was the gross win­ner with 88 and Ju­dith Doyle took out the sil­ver spoon with nett 74.

Other good scores in­cluded Grace Zaba­jnik on 75 and Ann El­lis, Lyn Eger­ton-Green, Shirley Hall, Stef Ba­con and Jo East­cott all on 76.

Novel­ties were shared by Davey, Hall, Marg Palumbo and Sue El­lis. Doyle won the least putts, be­ing 25. Dot Chitty and Noe­lene Hoff­man both scored par 3 birdies.

The 2017 Club Four­somes Cham­pi­onship over 36 holes was held on Thurs­day.

Nine teams teed off at 8.30am with Pam Davey and Robyn Peet win­ning with a score of 180 from Grace Zaba­jnik and Noe­lene Withers on 193.

Sue El­lis and Shirley Hall were the nett win­ners on 147.
