Campus open day to show students’ talent
STUDENTS’ creativity and effort will be on display this Thursday at the Bunbury Catholic College Mercy Campus in Australind, for the third annual Mercy on Show exhibition.
As part of the campus’ annual open day, there will be open classroom displays of the students’ work in visual art, wood and metalwork, and media and digital technologies.
Teacher Jacqui Granger said the day was open to the community to view students’ works as well as the campus itself.
“We call it Mercy on Show and the whole campus is on show,” she said.
“We’re highlighting the creative arts.”
Guided tours will also give prospective families a look around the campus.
“If you are a parent or potential student, that day is the day to come to the campus and explore our new facilities,” Ms Granger said.
Music, dance and drama performances will also be held in the Angela Costello Centre where the Best On Show presentations will also be at 5pm.
Culinary students will show their skills by serving an afternoon tea.
The open day will run from 3pm until 7pm.
Bunbury Catholic College Mercy Campus students Kira Walker, Maddison Milne, both Year 8, and Zoe Younger, Year 7, prepare their artwork for display during the Mercy on Show open day.
