16-year-old boy faces burglary, weapons charges
WAROONA police have charged a 16-yearold boy following two burglaries in the town last week.
On September 3, an elderly woman’s Waroona house was burgled as she sat in her front room with the offender allegedly entering through the back.
It is alleged later that day the offender brandished an axe before evading police.
About midday on Tuesday there was an- other burglary in Waroona.
The 16-year-old boy was subsequently arrested and charged after he was allegedly found in possession of stolen property.
He faced 14 charges including two counts of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and a weapons offence when he appeared in Bunbury Children’s Court last Wednesday and was remanded in custody.
