Working group formed
MEETING last Tuesday, Harvey Shire Council voted to form a working group to prepare the Economic Development Strategy to which three councillors were appointed.
Shire president Tania Jackson, deputy shire president Paul Beech and Cr Derrick Simpson nominated for the group, with Cr Michelle Boylan as a deputy, for the working group.
The group will also comprise of two community or business representatives, one representative from the South West Development Commission and council staff.
The strategy will cover tourism, industrial development, retail and hospitality and investment attraction.
