Se­cure tick­ets to Pro­cure

SOUTH West busi­nesses are be­ing urged to se­cure tick­ets to this month’s Pro­cure South West con­fer­ence with time run­ning out be­fore the event be­gins.

In­no­va­tion and tech­nol­ogy will be the key themes of the event which aims to grow lo­cal pro­cure­ment by in­dus­try and gov­ern­ment.

The event will be held at South Re­gional TAFE’s Au­to­mo­tive Train­ing Cen­tre in Bun­bury on Novem­ber 24-25.

South West Cham­bers of Com­merce and In­dus­tries pres­i­dent Pa­trick War­rand said the train­ing back­drop was a per­fect set­ting for the ca­reer-fo­cussed sec­ond day

“This is a unique op­por­tu­nity for lo­cal small and medium busi­ness peo­ple to con­nect with pro­cure­ment man­agers in in­dus­try and gov­ern­ment,” he said.

“It will also be an eye-opener from a tech­nol­ogy and ca­reers per­spec­tive.”

In­for­ma­tion ses­sions, in­clud­ing “do­ing busi­ness with in­dus­try” and “do­ing busi­ness with gov­ern­ment”, will give busi­nesses ad­vice about meet­ing the needs of gov­ern­ment and in­dus­tries plus tips on ten­der­ing.

Speak­ers will in­clude rep­re­sen­ta­tives from South32 Wors­ley Alu­mina, Al­coa, Tal­i­son Lithium, WA Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment As­so­ci­a­tion and the cities of Bun­bury and Bus­sel­ton.
