Ceremony farewells Year 12 students
PARENTS, family, friends and fellow students gathered last Monday to celebrate and recognise the Year 12 graduating class at Harvey Senior High School.
In a ceremony conducted by deputy principal Justine Pinkerton, principal Di Clayton congratulated the students and thanked parents and teachers for guiding, correcting and supporting the graduating class.
Guest speaker and alumnus Corey Bavin shared some of his workplace knowledge gained since graduating in 2013 and Year 11 Kate Pyburne gave the graduating class a farewell message.
School captain Rebecca Wood spoke of how much she and the rest of the Year 12 class had learnt since their first day of high school, and thanked the teachers, parents and guardians for helping them on their journey.
“We will walk forward with resolution and courage, and we thank Harvey Senior High School for instilling these values in us,” Miss Wood said.
