Cer­e­mony farewells Year 12 stu­dents

PAR­ENTS, fam­ily, friends and fel­low stu­dents gath­ered last Mon­day to cel­e­brate and recog­nise the Year 12 grad­u­at­ing class at Har­vey Se­nior High School.

In a cer­e­mony con­ducted by deputy prin­ci­pal Jus­tine Pinker­ton, prin­ci­pal Di Clay­ton con­grat­u­lated the stu­dents and thanked par­ents and teach­ers for guid­ing, cor­rect­ing and sup­port­ing the grad­u­at­ing class.

Guest speaker and alum­nus Corey Bavin shared some of his work­place knowl­edge gained since grad­u­at­ing in 2013 and Year 11 Kate Py­burne gave the grad­u­at­ing class a farewell mes­sage.

School cap­tain Re­becca Wood spoke of how much she and the rest of the Year 12 class had learnt since their first day of high school, and thanked the teach­ers, par­ents and guardians for help­ing them on their jour­ney.

“We will walk for­ward with res­o­lu­tion and courage, and we thank Har­vey Se­nior High School for in­still­ing these val­ues in us,” Miss Wood said.

The grad­u­at­ing class pre­pares to cel­e­brate with cho­co­late cake.
