Firearm, fireworks charges
HARVEY police last week finalised charges relating to a search warrant carried out at a property in Uduc in October.
“As a result of police investigations following the search warrant, two men were taken into custody and charged by police,” Harvey police Acting Sgt David Herrington said.
A 26-year-old man was charged with three counts of failing to ensure safe keeping of firearms and one count of unlicensed possession of ammuni- tion. A 51-year-old man was also charged with two counts of failing to ensure safe keeping of firearms and one count of possession of an unlawfully modified firearm.
A quantity of fireworks was discovered during the search of the property, which are deemed to be dangerous under the 2004 Dangerous Goods Act.
Both men were charged with one count each of unlicensed possession of dangerous goods in relation to the fireworks.
