Harvey-Waroona Reporter - - REPORTER NEWS -

YARLOOP Oval will come to life early next year with the inaugural Yarloop Charity Car Cruise on January 14 which will raise money for the Yarloop Volunteer Bushfire Brigade.

Cars will gather on the oval from 10am to 5pm with no registration required and any type of classic cars or bikes welcome.

Co-organiser Sue Manuel said while car cruises usually started at one point and ended up at another this event was a cruise in, with the cars finding their way to Yarloop Oval.

“Most car cruises are from point A to point B but this is from wherever they’re starting from,” she said.

“Any cars or bikes, it’s open to anyone. We’ve got a whole variety of cars we hope will turn up.”

As well as fundraising for the brigade, Ms Manuel said it was hoped the event would help revitalise the town.

“We want to get some life happening in the place, get things going again,” she said.
