Big turnout for care ser­vice’s fes­tive lunch

SOUTH West Com­mu­nity Care rang in the fes­tive sea­son on Wed­nes­day, with its clients from across the re­gion en­joy­ing the an­nual Christ­mas lunch.

Op­er­a­tions man­ager Deb­o­rah Gun­son said it was the big­gest turnout yet for the an­nual Christ­mas event.

“We have in ex­cess of 90 peo­ple here to­day, that have come from as far south as Capel and up as far as Yar­loop,” she said.

Clients were picked up and brought to Eden Grove in Har­vey where the Man­ning Func­tion Cen­tre was filled to the rafters with Christ­mas dec­o­ra­tions.

The lunch fea­tured live en­ter­tain­ment as well as tra­di­tional Christ­mas cracker rid­dles and jokes.
