Minister a guest at Cyber Safety talk
FORREST MHR Nola Marino will speak at a special Cyber Safety presentation tomorrow.
The free event is on at 9am to 10.30am at the Harvey Community Resource Centre.
Special guest speaker at the event will be Federal Law Enforcement and Cyber Security Minister Angus Taylor.
Mrs Marino’s presentations cover not only online scams, but also the risks associated with social media, cyber bullying, digital footprint, what it means to be groomed online and security weaknesses in a mobile phone such as location services.
Mr Taylor has bachelors degrees in economics and law from the University of Sydney, and a Master of Philosophy in Economics from Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
As the author of the Menzies Research Centre essay ‘The Promise of Digital Government’, Mr Taylor’s unique perspective will add another dimension to the cyber safety presentation.
