OPEN­ING day for the Har­vey ladies on April 5 was a two-player Am­brose with tro­phies do­nated by Judy Muller and Gwen Slavin. The field was made up of 29 Har­vey play­ers as well as seven vis­i­tors and ladies new to golf. Al­to­gether there were 18 teams. Pam Davey and Mar­ion Ice­ton came out on top with a nett 55.5 fol­lowed by Cathy Lo­ton and Mag­gie O’Rielly on 56.5. Other good scores in­cluded Mar­ion Tay­lor and Judy Muller also on 56.5. Novel­ties on the day went to Mar­ion Tay­lor and Grace Zaba­jnik with long putts, Lynda Oven­den, Jo East­cott and Kate Duke with near­est the pins. Betty Frost and Sylvia Richards with clos­est chips and Delilah Hur­ley had the short­est drive.
