An excellent field of 42 players turned up to a well-presented course. Scores were not as high as in previous scroungers events.
Joel Catalano won the day with 39 points to beat Jim Bianchi on a countback. John Powell was third with 38 points beating Lyn Joyce, Phil Humphries and Graeme Collins on a countback. Catalano played consistent golf which was reflected by his nine-hole scores of 20 and 19 points. Bianchi is finding form as he was runner-up on the previous Saturday so a win should not be too far away for him.
