Ready for any challenge
A REINVIGORATED Harvey Bulls colts side have their sights on the top of the ladder, with big numbers taking part in preseason training.
Coach Reese Blechynden said the team had produced a fantastic preseason with 20 to 30 colts at each training session.
The players have been building their all-round skills with a particular focus on decision-making.
This is Blechynden’s first season in the post and his first coaching role, but he is excited to pass his experience on to the young players.
Blechynden said he looked forward to sharing all he learnt from coaches in regional football and in 10 years at Subiaco in the WAFL.
“As I get older and my football career comes to an end I want to pass on this great knowledge and give them the opportunities that I got.”
Blechynden said the colts had been disappointed at the end of last year, struggling with numbers, but were eager for the season to start.
“This year is going to be a much better year for them,” he said.
“Last year they did have a bit of success, but they didn’t have the numbers. If all goes well and we can stick to the game plan, I think we can beat any side in the competition this year.”
