Australind Lions Club members put the final touches to a park bench that the club donated for the Ridley Place foreshore on Wednesday.

The weather- resistant bench was installed to replace a bench that was removed during the foreshore upgrade.

Club member Peter Mongan had the task of fixing a plaque to the bench, which has been installed at the site of the Lions’ old bench overlooking the Leschenault Estuary. “It’s in a great spot to get a perfect view,” club president Ann Knapp said.

The seat was purchased by the club as a community- donated project.
