Strong pres­ence pays off

Har­vey po­lice have main­tained a strong pres­ence on the roads in a bid to boost driver safety.

Af­ter a rou­tine traf­fic stop just af­ter 6am on Septem­ber 12, of­fi­cers charged a 42-year-old Har­vey wo­man with driv­ing a ve­hi­cle with a blood al­co­hol con­tent in ex­cess of 0.02.

She will ap­pear in Har­vey Mag­is­trate’s Court next month.

Of­fi­cers per­formed a ve­hi­cle stop in Cook­er­nup on Septem­ber 11 and al­legedly found the driver had never held a li­cence.

A 25-year-old Har­vey man was charged with driv­ing a mo­tor ve­hi­cle with no au­thor­ity to drive.

He will ap­pear in Har­vey Mag­is­trates Court in Novem­ber.

A 26-year-old Wa­roona man was charged with pos­sess­ing a pro­hib­ited drug af­ter a ve­hi­cle stop in Wa­roona on the Septem­ber 15. He has been sum­monsed to ap­pear in Har­vey Mag­is­trate’s Court next month.

Po­lice charged a 26-year-old Dawesville man with pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited drug and pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia af­ter ve­hi­cle stop in Yar­loop on Septem­ber 16. He will ap­pear in Har­vey Mag­is­trate’s Court next month.

“The last re­sult was as part of a joint pa­trol with Yar­loop po­lice,” Har­vey po­lice act­ing Sgt Jon Adams said.

“We con­tinue to work closely with Wa­roona and Yar­loop, pro­vid­ing a greater ser­vice to the pub­lic in our sub districts.”
