Charges result from incident
Bunbury Detectives have charged two men in relation to a driving incident in Leschenault that was live-streamed on social media.
Officers will allege the driver of a red Holden ute began to pursue a silver Toyota Corolla on Old Coast Road and Forrest Highway at about 5.38pm on September 30.
Vision of the incident uploaded to an online platform show the driver of the utility allegedly committing a number of traffic offences.
The vision also showed the passenger using a baseball bat to smash the driver’s window of the Toyota Corolla while both vehicles were still being driven.
Police charged a 21-year-old Leschenault man with criminal damage, reckless driving, driving using a mobile phone and being armed in a way that may cause fear.
A 20-year-old Australind man was charged with criminal damage, failing to wear a seatbelt, passenger body or limbs protruding from a vehicle and being armed in a way that may cause fear.
Police also seized a Holden ute and other items relating to the alleged offences.
