CODER DOJO COMES TO WAROONA
In the October school holidays, local Coder Dojo Mentor Trish Davies (and Peel Bright Minds ESTEAM Champion of the Year) held four trial sessions for Coder Dojo WA. These trials were a huge success, with all spaces booked before any significant promotion. Coder Dojos are free and social open learning environments that provide a space for young people to learn and practice computer programming in a fun environments, and work on their creative digital projects with assistance from mentors. These ESTEAM based activities are emerging from interest shown in recent activities organised by Peel Bright Minds such as the successful Science Café held in August.
