QUILTERS WARM TO EXHIBITION
Waroona’s brown-eyed darling has donned a special quilt costume in celebration of the Waroona Visitor’s Centre’s latest craft exhibition.
The quilt exhibition, called A Hanging on the Highway, has put the spotlight on some of the best quilters from around the region.
“She looks beautiful,” centre officer Kathy Krauth said.
“And the exhibition is going really well.
“So many people coming through.”
The exhibition showcases the work of quilters from the Waroona shire, as well as Coolup and Yar- loop. While some works are for display only, many of them are available for purchase as a special souvenir for visitors and locals alike.
Mooriel will be showing her patchwork cloak and hat for A Hanging on the Highway until the end of the month.
Waroona Visitor's Centre officer Kathy Krauth helps Mooriel adjust her quilted costume.
