The most cur­rent Aus­tralian In­sti­tute of Fam­ily Stud­ies re­search shows the ma­jor­ity of fam­i­lies with chil­dren un­der 18 years of age were ‘in­tact’ fam­i­lies (73.5 per cent). Al­most par­ent (19.3 per cent) while step and blended fam­i­lies ac­counted for less than 6.5 per cent of all fam­i­lies. While my home is re­garded as pretty 'stan­dard', when I look at my own so­cial net­work, there are more types of ‘fam­ily’ in it than you can count. And while ev­ery­one’s fam­ily thing that ties to­gether all of us women with kids - and that’s moth­er­hood. On the eve of Mother’s Day 2017, haven sat down with a va­ri­ety of mums to dis­cuss all things moth­er­hood - that undis­puted hard­est job of all. Here’s what they had to say…
