The lat­est na­tional sur­vey re­vealed 13 per cent of Aussies are on a diet. Sur­prised? Ac­tu­ally, we thought the fig­ure would be a lot higher!

After all, there’s no short­age of di­ets do­ing the rounds — low carb, low fat, Atkins, Weight Watch­ers, Big­gest Loser, Jenny Craig, pa­leo, ve­gan … so, what’s the best?

Two re­cent stud­ies set out to dis­cover ex­actly that, and here’s what they found: 1) There’s no one-size-fits-all ap­proach 2) Eat­ing more plant foods is healthy, and 3) No mat­ter which weight-loss method you choose, the one you can stick with for longer than six months is linked to suc­cess.
