Intermittent fasting is an exciting new area of research. It has the potential to positively affect your health — but it’s important also to acknowledge that the long-term implications are still unknown. You may also need to consider if fasting and excessive hunger have negative consequences on your mood, energy levels and ability to concentrate. Intermittent fasting is not a magic bullet. What’s important is that you find a way of eating that works for you as an individual — and if that’s fasting, so be it. But rest assured, a multitude of health benefits are associated with other eating patterns, too.
