JUMANJI (PG)
STAN
This classic all-ages gem finally takes its bow on home streaming after a notable absence. The reason it’s here, of course, is because of the big-budget reboot now in cinemas. The original remains a superior offering, however. Kirsten Dunst and Bradley Pierce play orphans whose discovery of an ancient board game in the attic of their aunt’s house unleashes a jungle menagerie in their close-knit community. Only trouble is, the kids live in smalltown America, not downtown Africa. Though the special effects have dated somewhat, the welcome presence of Robin Williams in an anchoring role remains something special.
