THE FRANKIE DRAKE MYSTERIES 13th Street, 10.30pm

Herald Sun - Hit - - TOP PICKS -

As female detectives in 1920s Toronto, Frankie and Trudy are an unlikely duo, plus Trudie is black. Frankie is into modern fads like green tea and Chinese therapies ... she’s practically the Gwyneth Paltrow of crime. They take on the kind of mysteries police don’t want to know about, and this first one is a good old-fashioned whodunit, as a wealthy woman’s pearls vanish from her hotel safe. But the thief has mysteriously left the trademark of Frankie’s shifty dad, a drake feather.
