Herald Sun - Hit - - TOP PICKS -

I really wanted to like this show. Unfortunately, I just can’t gel with the Pearson family and their predictable problems. They are just too preachy. And schmaltzy. And the life lessons come on too thick and fast. In the flashback, Rebecca is concerned about Kate’s food obsession. Jack insists she’s just “big boned”. It seems Rebecca was right to worry as, in the present day, a now-adult Kate is still struggling with her weight. She’s packing carrot sticks for a snack but secretly wolfing down fried chicken.
