I can’t wait to watch more of this. Hugh Grant is superb as lecherous, old politician Jeremy Thorpe, the leader of Britain’s Liberal Party, who stood trial for conspiracy to murder (he was later acquitted). He confidently seduces stablehand Norman Scott (Ben Wishaw, also brilliant in this role) and makes him his plaything until such time as the relationship is no longer convenient. With the threat of blackmail looming, Thorpe takes action. Saucy shots in iconic locations add shock value in this shockingly conservative situation.
