They say they want the world to see the real peo­ple of Mex­ico, but this se­ries is set in Polanca, the Bev­erly Hills of Mex­ico City, filled with so­cialites and soap stars, blog­gers and mod­els. It’s the usual re­al­ity TV stuff: friend­ships, fights and op­u­lent par­ties. The mix of English and Span­ish means sub­ti­tles are re­quired, but it’s a chance to learn some new slang, such as the word “fresa” — mean­ing some­one who wears ex­pen­sive clothes and says “like” too much. So ... ba­si­cally all of them.
